Site Progress: November 16, 2009

The painting is pretty much done, inside and out.

And the cabinets are installed. Also, the pavers on the front and back porch are in place.

The house is really coming together, and the dedication on December 5 will be a big day for all concerned with the project.

Site Progress: October 28, 2009

The front door is in.

And, now that the door is in, the siding on the front porch is completed, as well.  Now the tile can be set on the front and rear porches.

Next step is interior and exterior painting, which should be started this week.

See the photo gallery for site progress as of October 28.

Stay tuned for the next update.

Site Progress: October 23, 2009

We've got doors!

Well, most of the interior doors are hung, anyway. We've also got wood window ledges and finishing inside the archways between several of the rooms. Tile has been delivered ready to install, both inside (kitchen, bath, foyer) and out (front and back porches).

The exterior front doors should be here by early next week, and then the siding can be completed on the front of the house.

See the photo gallery for site progress as of October 23.

Be sure to mark your calendar for the Dedication on December 5. More details to follow soon.

Site Progress: October 16, 2009

I arrived to shoot the progress on Friday (10/16) afternoon, and everyone had left for the day. However, the house is coming along very well.

Since my last visit the siding has been completely finished, and I assume the inspections on the insulation went well, as the drywall is hung and looks pretty much finished.

I'll get an update from Bill or Darrell on what's next on the schedule, so stop by regularly for updates.

Progress Update: Site Prep

Since the groundbreaking, several trees and some brush have been removed from the property.

Tucker Paving brought in 43 truckloads of dirt, and raised the level of the site to the required height.  Today (8/21) they were in the process of compacting and leveling the site.
